here`s something special about sharing a sport that brings every generation together.
This International Day of Families, we`re celebrating the parents, grandparents, kids, and siblings who step up to the shooting line side by side.
Archery is a sport for all ages and abilities: accessible enough for beginners, challenging enough to keep you coming back, and best of all, something the whole family can enjoy together.

Happy Mother`s Day to all the mums who always show up: on the range, sidelines, at home and everywhere in between. 🌸
Read about one mum who embodies the archery mum, Lynette Rankin-Tyack, and the things that archery mums do to support their clubs and children.
Lynette quietly supports countless pathways to state, national and international competition, and over the past 19 years, she`s built a legacy that helped save a club and shape a generation of archers.
So from all of us at Archery Australia: thank you and Happy Mother`s Day to all the mums.

On Saturday 2nd of May we had the opportunity to present archery to number of potential new athletes, at the Try Para Sports, hosted by BUPA and Paralympics Australia. The event was held at Nissan Arena at QSAC and saw over 90 participants attend.
Coach Amanda Ament from SVTA, along with our mates from the Brisbane Para Squad, Alex Lawrie and Emily Foster, and national assistant coach Sarah Fuller, had over 50 people through to try Para archery.
Trying para archery allows assistance with a number of shooting aids like mouth tabs, shoulder harnesses and triggers, to assist anyone wanting to try. We’re so glad we did, as they were well utilised and everyone could get involved.
We met some incredible people, networked with some great contacts, and will hopefully see some of those participants at a range in Queensland soon.
