NOTICE OF MOTION

It is the policy of the Archery Australia Board that all Notices of Motion relating to changes to the Archery Australia Constitution and Archery Australia Shooting Rules be made available to the membership for about 21 days to allow the general membership to make comments and provide feedback to the mover of the motion/s.

Changes to the Archery Australia Constitution or motions to the Archery Australia Annual General Meeting can only be approved (voted) by members of Archery Australia (RGB's) at the Annual General Meeting.

The process for moving a motion to the Annual general meeting is; the motion can be moved by an RGB, Committee, Club or individual member on the appropriate form and received by the Archery Australia Office not less then 10 weeks prior to the meeting. A motion can not be discussed or voted on at the Annual General meeting until it has been seconded by a member (RGB). Any motions that do not receive a seconder will lapse.

General motions relating to the conduct of Archery Australia events and shooting rules are invited from members (RGB's), Committees and clubs and individual members submitted through their RGB or an Archery Australia Committee. Such motions must be submitted to the Archery Australia Office on the appropiate form at a date advertised.

Motions will be advertised for about 21 days on the Archery Australia website and RGBs, Committees, Clubs and individual members  are invited to make comment to the motion/s in writing to the mover with copies to the Archery Australia Office of the motion prior to the Board Meeting where the motion is to be discussed. All comments close with the mover 5 days prior to the Board Meeting. The motion/s and all comments received will then be presented to the Archery Australia Board for voting.

The mover of the motion /s shall (prior to the Board meeting) review all comments received, amend the motion/s if considered necessary and along with the comments received present the motion/s to the Archery Australia Board for consideration.

Motions relating to changes of the Archery Australia Shooting Rules can be approved by the Archery Australia Board at anytime although the Board prefers to deal with such motions at their quarterly meetings.

All changes to the Archery Australia Shooting Rules usually come into force on the 1st July each year unless they involve changes to FITA Rules or Safety Rules or as determined by the Board.
